I fell in love with books at an early age, beginning with anything on electronics, astronomy, and geology. In my teens, my best friend introduced me to the world of Fantasy and Science Fiction, reading writers such as David Eddings, Terry Brooks, Stephen R. Donaldson, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, and on and on. I still love SF, but I went on to discover so many brilliant writers, such as John Updike, Plath, Kafka, Vonnegut, Hemingway, Austen, Fanny Burney, John Irving, Fitzgerald, and Michael Ondaatje, and so many more. Ondaatje’s novel, The English Patient, is my favorite novel, one I can read over and over.

After I completed my B.S. in Business from Marquette University, I struggled deciding whether to pursue a Masters in Literature or an MBA. The practicalities of life won out, and I earned an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. I began writing some time ago, off and on, and refocused last fall on finally getting published. Like many writers, I started a novel, but my main focus right now is the short story.
